Old Naked Ladies and the Monte Carlo Casino - The South of France

The South of France, oh man I don't even know where to start. I'm just going to run through the weekend from start to finish.

The people who went on this trip were the same ones in Poland, Zack, Lucas, Mackie and myself.  We started off by taking an early morning flight Thursday from Prague to Nice, France. We got into Nice at around 9am and headed to our hostel to check in, but of course our room wasn't ready until 3 so we put our stuff down, throw on our bathing suits, and head to what we thought was a sandy beach. Nope, no sand to be found, the beach was pure rocks, the rocks were smooth and round, but huge and extremely uncomfortable.  The water and weather was great so nothing really to complain about.

BUT, in France it is completely kosher for girls, and old ladies, to go around topless.  Go ahead and picture what you think you would see at a nude beach in the South of France.  Take that and completely trash it.  Old women, no tops, everywhere. A miserable site to say the least. So we hang out there for a pretty long time and head back to our hostel.  We took a nap and then got ready for the night.

Our first night in Nice was unexpected. We drank Coronas at the hostel for a while then went with a bunch of guys from England to this bar called Wayan's. Extremely touristy and expensive, but really fun.        I ended up sitting down at a table with a bunch of Canadians who were all part of a crew who worked for HGTV on a reality show. We hung out with them for a good amount of time and then headed back to the hostel.

Next morning we wake up and head to Cannes, France. In my opinion this place blew Nice out of the water. Nice hotels, nice shops, and gorgeous women.  We head to the beach which finally had sand and hung out there for a good 4 hours.  I'm happy to say that the level of nude girls was definitely higher in Cannes, sorry mom you probably didn't want to hear that, but I know dad and all the other guys did. From Cannes we head back to Nice shower and start drinking again.  We head out with our English buddies and a guy who literally was McLovin's twin.  We head back to Wayan's and meet most insane English man of all time who challenged Zack to a game he called Beer Mats where you flip up drink coasters and catch them. Zack held his own, but in the end the crazy mother fucker went crazy and beat Zack.

Me and Zack get a little bored so we head down the strip with all the bars where we wander into a Rasta bar.  The bar happened to be the location of a Rasta concert where the band consisted of 2 black guys with dreads and an 85 year old grandma on lead vocals. Yes, she was literally 85 years old and absolutely killed it. We got a picture with her, but of course it didn't save on Zacks phone.  After the Rasta bar we head back to the hostel, but not before we stop at the best Kebab place I have ever been to.

The last day in Nice we sleep in a little bit and walk around seeing the sights. We went to the top of a waterfall and it was absolutely gorgeous. You could see the whole French Rivera it seemed. After that we walked around went down to the water for a little and headed back to the hostel. At around 5 or 6 we went to Monaco.  Couple facts about Monaco, second smallest country in the world and it is the richest country in the world.  We hop off the train and head towards their famous casino the Monte Carlo. I'm not kidding when I say every other car was either a Ferrari, Bentley, Rolls Royce, or Lamborghini. It was unbelievable.  We grab a quick bite then head to the Monte Carlo Casino. Sorry mom and dad but there is no way I was going to be at arguably the nicest casino in the world and not gamble a little bit.  You have to pay 10 Euro to get in so I did that and head to the roulette table. I only have two 5 Euro chips but turn that into 65 euro in four turns. I throw 30 euro into my coat pocket for safe keeping and put 35 down on one turn and lose that so I leave up 20 euro. After that we meet up with Lucas's friends for a drink then head back to Nice.

We only go out in Nice for a little bit because of how late it was, nothing crazy happened on the last night. We woke up early and headed back to Prague. Next weekend is Oktoberfest so I'll definitely be updating you guys on that weekend.

It was long but I hope you guys enjoyed it.

The First Post

I know it might be a little late to start one of these things, but I figured I might as well let everyone know how my trips going.  My gut tells me I'm gonna sound stupid no matter what on this thing, but here it goes.

I've been in Prague for 2 weeks now, and loved every second of it. I got lucky and got a great group of roommates.  I hang out and go out with pretty much only these guys unless we go out in a big group.  We've gone out quite a bit in Prague, there are a shit ton of really cool bars and really cool clubs.  The coolest bar we've been to so far and by far is this place called the Beer Factory. It has beer taps at each table and it measures how much beer you drink. Then on the screen it turns into a race and you race other tables. It is a lot of fun.

Last weekend me and 3 of my roommates went to Krakow, Poland. Probably doesn't sound like the best place in Europe but it shocked all of us.  We went and saw the concentration camps Auschwitz and Birkenau, which was extremely moving and nothing I could even explain in words.  We went out and the night life was surprisingly amazing.  The scene was really young and there were a lot of good bars and clubs.

On Thursday morning me and 3 of my roommates are taking of to Nice, France for some beach time.

I'll keep updating this if any of you are interested.
